Dance Director Renee Post has an enormous passion and love for this creative art form and with her extensive training, knowledge and experience she has formed learning centres to teach a variety of what “the arts” has to offer. Renee’s aim and vision is to provide a fun environment focusing on correct technique training for a future career in the arts or just for enjoyment.
Having begun her own dance lessons from the tender age of 2 years, by 5 years old she was able to claim to be the youngest competitor on televisions Young Talent Time. In 1995 Renee was the Overall SA Dance Champion and had roles in a multitude of TV commercials and leading roles in musicals. Her professional career lead her to working for organizations such as Disney, Warner Bros., International Grand Prix Assoc., and many more.
As a young adult Renee expanded her passion for Dance and her studies included international instruction from world renown choreographers in New York, Los Angeles and London. This lead to forming a career in teaching and studio directorship by obtaining formally recognized certifications:
Renee generously shares the knowledge she has gained from her vast experience and is a positive role model and mentor to her staff and students.
As a recent high school graduate, Liana is excited to be joining our THDA teaching team alongside her current work at the Boston Bay Winery and Coles.
Deciding to take a break from study this year, she has deferred her sociology and international development degree, which means more time to spend in the studio! Describing her first ever dance concert as ‘magical’, Liana is eager to further her involvement with the THDA community by taking on a teaching role.
Another new addition to the THDA teaching team, Molly’s favourite style to both coach and perform is contemporary. Eager to head into medicine upon completion of high school, she sees dance as a welcome break from her studies.
As with many of our Port Lincoln team, her first ever showcase back in 2016 is her proudest and fondest dance memory, with many years of exciting performances to come!
